Silverchair.

Silverchair...la banda de grunge australiana. Llegó al estrellato mundial en 1995 con su álbum debut, Frogstomp. Con un sonido parecido a una fusión entre Nirvana y Pearl Jam, los Silverchair fueron más famosos por su edad que por su música; cuando lanzaron Frogstomp, tenían 15 años. Su nombre original fue Innocent Criminals y fue formada en 1992 en Newcastle, Australia, por tres amigos de la secundaria: el guitarrista/cantante Daniel Johns, el bajista Chris Joannou, y el baterista Ben Gillies, Antes del lanzamiento de su simple debut, 'Tomorrow', en septiembre de 1994, la banda se cambió el nombre a Silverchair; el nombre derivaba del tema 'Sliver' de Nirvana (al que accidentalmente le cambiaron de lugar dos letras, convirtiéndolo en 'Silver') y el tema 'Berlin Chair' de You Am I....
